Westsound Pickleball uses portable SwiftNets for Open Play. Setting up these nets in the wrong way can damage the nets. Please review the materials below to learn how to properly assemble our SwiftNets.

Important Tips When Handling the Nets
1. Check the tension cords
-
Make sure the tension cords are not twisted before attaching the net to the base.

Twisted cords can become stressed and eventually break.
2. Protect the bases
-
Never place your foot or extra weight (other than sandbags) on the bases of the net.

This can tear the rubber feet.
3. Handle the boom poles carefully
-
Lay the carbon fiber boom pole sections carefully on the court and allow the sections to straighten and come together naturally.

Never toss or drop the boom poles.
4. Carefully Disassemble the Nets

When taking down the nets, tuck the cord ends into the pole sleeve before packing.

Match the bag number with the net number to help us track the nets and identify equipment that needs repair.
Step-by-Step Assembly
1. Unpack & Layout All Parts
-
Remove all parts of the net from the bag: the two bases, the 8-segment carbon fiber “boom”, the net (with side posts inserted), and the center support (the small “A”-shaped attachment).

Lay the components flat near the center of the court.
2. Assemble the Boom
-
IMPORTANT! Carefully lay down the carbon fiber segments on the court in a straight line so they can snap together until they lock.

Never toss or throw the boom pole segments.
3. Unroll the Net Carefully

The net should have been folded in half and then rolled up when it was put away.

Unroll net and lay flat on the court.
4. Attach the Bases
-
Place the bases about a foot outside the court sidelines with the tab on each base facing out.

Insert the net posts onto the base legs until the post clicks onto the tab.
5. Attach Boom

Insert each end of the boom into the top pockets of the net posts.
6. Tension the Net
-
Connect the "A"-shaped center support to the bottom of the boom in the middle.

Pull the tensioning cords out and down on the posts until the “A” support drops down and lightly touches the court.
7. Adjust Net Height
-
Adjust the center strap (attached to the bottom of the net in the middle) by looping the end of the Velcro strap up to the red line on the strap.

The center of the net should measure 34 inches up from the ground, and the posts on either side should be 36 inches high.
Step-by-Step Disassembly
1. Loosen the tension cords from the end posts and remove the center "A" support.
2. Unclip the end posts from the base legs and pull them out of the brackets.
3. Prevent tangling by inserting the tension cord dongles into the sides of the net.
4. Fold the net in half lengthwise and carefully roll it up around the posts.
5. Disassemble the boom by pulling the sections apart.
6. Pack all components into the carry bag, making sure the number on net matches the number on bag.
